A little about me

Hi, my name is Mutsumi. I’m a UX/UI designer who transforms complex systems into simple, intuitive experiences. I’m passionate about crafting designs that are user-centered, accessible, and genuinely enjoyable to use. I believe great UX design is successful when it feels invisible—working seamlessly without the user even noticing.

With over 15 years of experience in visual and print design—including work on the Amazon website and packaging for children’s products—I bring a strong foundation in visual storytelling and usability. More recently, I’ve contributed to software development for scientific instruments, collaborating closely with project managers, UX designers, and developers to create thoughtful design solutions in highly technical environments.

I’m all about clean, beautiful design that feels effortless and natural. When I’m not designing, you’ll often find me outdoors—hiking, camping, or taking in views of the beach or mountains. The colors, textures, and calm of nature inspire me and often find their way into my work.
